PAM (Polyacrylamide) (Cation, Anion, Noion, Amphion)

[ Properties ]
Polyacrylamide,abbreviation PAM,is a glassy solid,easy to adsorb water ; the absorbing speed are varied with different derivative ions.It is soluble in water and organic solvents as acetic acid,glycol,glycerin and amine.It will be decomposed after long time heating. Decomposed temperature is over 200oC.It can be carbonated into black powder at 210ーC without oxygen.
It could be made to four series,e.g.,non-ion,cation,anion and mixed cation & anion.
[ Uses ]
It is an important water-soluble compound with the properties of flocculation,thickening,cut-resisting,block-reducing dispersing,etc ..These properties are varied with different derivative ions.So it is widely used in the field of oil extraction,mining selection,coat washing,metallurgy,chemical,papermaking,sugar refining,pharmaceutical,environment protection,construction materials and agriculture.

1.Drilling Mud
    In the drilling mud, anionic polyacrylamide is mainly used as the tackifiers. In the drilling process, it has the actions of lubricating drilling bit, controlling the mud proportions, bringing debris, and ensuring the drill bit will not be impeded in suspension.

3.EOR
    The general polyacrylamide, which are applicable for  Oilfield EOR mainly include CA-70 anionic polyacrylamide, CA-75 anionic polyacrylamide.
    The product, which is applicable for the worst domestic geological conditions in EOR, is mainly CA-85 .That is what we called temperature-resistant and anti-saline polyacrylamide.
    The polyacrylamide product, which is applicable for DaQing Oilfield is mainly CA-45 salt-resistant polymer.
    The product, which is applicable for driving oil in offshore oilfields is mainly CA-60-polyacrylamide.
