White powder, granular and tablet with irritant chlorine odor. Slight solute in water, easily solute in acetone. PH Value within 2.7-2.9 when it is in water solution. The melting point is: 225 °C-235 °C. It will be decomposed if above this point, and release poison gas.

Used as disinfectant in swimming pool, industrial water treatment, environment, public places and drinking water. Also can be used as bleaching agent for cotton and flax fabric.
