Dextrose
Glucose is widely existed in nature, named from the grape
because of its high glucose content. Free glucose not only
exist in plant, especially in fruit, but also in honey and
animal. For normal human body, every 100ml of blood usually
contains 80-120 mg glucose. It is the ingredient in many saccharide
compounds such as saccharose, maltose, starch, glycogen and
vitamin, etc.
Properties: white crystal
with sweet taste, easy soluble in water, difficult to dissolve
in alcohol, insoluble in organic solvents such as ether, chloroform,
neutral reaction to litmus.
Uses: as the essential
element and most basic medical material, it enjoys wide functions
and uses. Especially with the improvement of life condition,
it is widely used in food industry as the substitute of saccharose,
1. Directly used to human
body: improve human body's energy and stamina, helpful to
detoxification and diaereses, used in injecta to cure hypoglycemia,
cold and fever, dizziness and prostration, myocarditis, etc.
2. Used in pharmaceutical
and chemical industry: divided into several type according
to the difference in reaction mechanism:
• self-oxidation and combination to
produce calcium gluconte, zinc gluconate, glucorone, etc.
• hydroreduction: produce sorbic alcohol and mannoalcohol.
• new-type fermentation: with the rapid development
and advancement of science and technology, as most basic nutritious
element, glucose is used to produce Vitamin B2, glutamine,
ribose, etc.
3. Used in food industry:
with the improvement of life condition and the development
of food technology, glucose is more widely used in food industry.
4. Used in animal medicine
industry: can directly used as drinking water agent or carrier
in a wide variety of animal medicine.
5. Quality Index:
1). Properties: white crystal, granular
powder, odorless, sweet taste, easy soluble in water, slightly
soluble in alcohol.
2). Specific rotatory power: +52.0°--- +53.5°
3). Dry loss: ≤9.5%
4). Chloride: <0.02%
5). Sulfate: <0.02%
6). Alcohol-insoluble matter: ≤5mg
7). Ferrous salt: <0.002%
8). Ignition residue: 0.08%
9). Heavy metal: ≤20ppm
10). Arsenide: <2ppm
11). Sulfite and soluble starch: appear yellow when added
iodine test solution.
In a word, with the advancement of society,
the development of science and technology and the improvement
of people's life condition, the uses of glucose are becoming
wider and wider with a good prospect. |
