Property: Dark red, white orthogonal crystal.
East decomposition in the moist air. Dissolve in water and
alcohol .Unstable. Only stable in liquid state. Its liquid
has strong basicity, harmful to skin. Melting to form black
liquid at 350,S.G.1.23-1.36.
Uses: Manufacture of ammonium sulfide ,ethyl
sulphur alcohol. Raw material and semiproducts in thiourea
production. As flotation agent in copper ore ,depilatory in
tanning and leather, desulphur agent in chemical fertilizer,
as sulfide dye agent in synthetic fibre.
